Default 382 Opinions

We are moving up in size and are considering the 382. Would like people's opinions of the boat.....would like 525's, air, etc. Probably 2005 and up. Pro's / Con's? What is a realistic speed with this 525's?
Any input is appreciated.

I went thru the pros and cons between the 382 and 353 before settling on the 353. The speed and the weight is what I ended making the decision over. There is a pretty substantial weight difference between them. As far as speed, from my pre-purchase research when comparing the 2, the 382 would need the next engines up to run with the 353. Example 500s in a 382 run with a 353 with 496s, a 382 with 600s runs with a 353 with 525s. Its what you need it to do overall though, like family boating or poker runs, etc. If the extra space is not needed go with a 353 with extension boxes. A 382 with 700s just gets a few ticks over 90, tells you how heavy that beast is. That could be good or bad depending on what your looking for. Arties boat is sweet, well taken care of. He keeps his boat in tip top shape.

Very well built, 382 is a tank, only 70 with 500s WOT. Decent cruise around 50, they would definitely benefit from 380 Kplanes too. I have a very low hour, very colorful 382 with 525s, gen, air, upgraded stereo, etc listed too.

Hey kjberman...

Mine is a 2002, loaded with every option except extension boxes.

500efi, and I just spent $$$$ on a brand new carbon dash, fully integrated simrad MFD/glass helm, etc. Etc.

It's not officially listed yet, but it is for sale.

Drop me a line if you would like to talk.

Thanks man. I absolutely love this boat. Decided to go a different direction, but I really thought this would be our last boat for a long time.

This is from 2 weeks ago at Boyne Thunder

It took me 2 yrs to find what I wanted. If you're still looking next year, look me up. The 382 has a private head. Wife likes that. With 600's, I like that. Has every option, low hours and 2 custom covers. I've started looking for something bigger and slower since that"s how I'm getting.
Enjoy the rest of the summer.
