Default 87 357 sr1 ?

I just installed a pair of 502 motors in my 87 357 SR1 I bought a set of Eddie Marine EMI 511 THUNDER SYSTEM. I went to install the risers and the point way lower then the holes.. Any suggestions ?? I did see that EMI makes a 3" taller set .. not sure if that is the answer .. Any information would be helpful.. Thanks

Are they bravo tails? I am pretty sure trs are different. Did you buy them new? If so I would get with Eddie and ask them, otherwise you need custom work done.

Not sure it seems to be listed on emi site kinda universal / bravo / Alfa ... Put a 3" spacer under the riser and it seems very close... From what I read TRS needs a little more night then the a bravo ...

If its anything like my Fastech , Formula puts the exhaust holes in a different spot for the silent thunder box. At one time I had EMI's with the long tailpipes and they were WAY off. Tried to run the boat and it burnt through the exhaust hose in an hour. I ended up switching to Eickert headers and I filled and moved my exhaust holes to the standard Bravo location. Jeff Wurl

I have a 242 with silent thunder. I had to get EMI +3 to make it work. With standard height risers my exhaust were sewer traps.

Default Eddie Marine risers on a 357

I put the Eddie Marine manifolds on my '93 357 in 2011. I had the same problem with the risers not lining up with the transom. I took pictures and measurements and sent them back to Eddie Marine with the risers. They made custom tails to connect to the holes in the transom, which fit and work well. The cost at that time was 575 to do the 4 pipes, and took about a month.
