Default Starboard drive will not trim up on my 336

OK, so the starboard drive suddenly will not trim up or down. If run a jumper wire to the solenoids I can get it to go up and down, so I know the pump is good. It will not operate with the throttle switch, trim switch, or the tilt switch, so I know the switches are not to blame. It appears the previous owner added automotive style relays to the switches when he added the Livorsi throttle and throttle switch. I swapped the relays and everything works the same, so I think the relays are fine.

Each drive has a 20 amp fuse, so I checked it and it has continuity so it is fine. I do not see any breaker for the trim motors anywhere, I do not think there are any, only fuses.

The port drive works fine.

I am stumped, and looking for suggestions

Formula should have breakers under the back seat

Yes there are breakers there but only for the tabs. The spaces for the drives have no breakers in them

Are you jumping it from the positive lug on trim pump assembly? That is what the 20 amp fuse/breaker feeds. The solenoids are not run off this. Maybe the power wire came loose under the throttle/rocker switch assembly? I think they are powered off the ignition as they take very little power, but not 100% sure on that without checking.

Definitely check the connections at the helm switch. Check your connections at the pump too. From cleaning the bilge routinely, mine get some corrosive build up on them at times. Nothing a little wire brush and WD can't fix.

I would get a meter and find a common ground. Then take your other lead and see if you are getting power into and out of each switch. Then of that's all good, go through the circuit and see where you are losing voltage. Just a poor connection somewhere will do this.

Check your plug on the pump (3 prong plug). Mine had some corrosion built up which has been causing an issue. Ordered some corrosion x to see if that will eat it up and fix the issue.

Well I did more checking with the meter and discovered my ground on the pump was hot, +12v.

Looked at the battery and when I let my buddy borrow my battery on Labor day weekend I put one of the wires on wrong. Lucky I didn't fry something. Was able to get it out last weekend for a final ride of the season.

THanks for the tips
