Default 311 prop help..

Looking to try 4 blades. Boat is a 89 with 330s. Its got the stock 23 mirage 3 blades. So should I go too a 22 pitch bravo? Or should I go too a 24 pitch?

Depends on what rpm you are getting with the 23s. Your current props probably have a lot of slip. That will decrease with four blades. 22s will keep about the same rpm at WOT, or maybe increase a few. 24's will drop rpms by about 200

Well honestly I don't know what rpm I turn with the 23s...haven't had the boat in the water yet. The 23s are chewed up..so looking at new prop options. I've never had luck with 3 blades on any boat I've owned so I'm just going to go with 4 blades on this one too. I believe the mirages are stock props on a 311..

Yeah my boat came with mirages and they suck. Running 23" Rev4's now and love them, but they run about the same as a 24 Bravo. I think your boat should run low 60s if its a Bravo boat. Go with 24's since 330s don't like a lot of rpms

Let us know your results. I had a 272 with 330s, 64 to 65 with 25 mirage non plus at about 45-4600. I cruised at 50 though at about 35-3600 which was great.

Hydromotive 22 or 24s depending on RPMs.
Our 89 worked great with the 24s. I had best luck with stock out of the box props.
Still have my backup 24s if you are interested.

Did your boat have 330s in it? What mph you get? Spin in or out?
Price on props?

Bought them from a 311 owner with stock 330s, he went 64
I had some work done on my 330s and would go 67.1 @ 5000 with stock 24s turning out.
For reference even used the same props with 502 mags later and went 72 @ 5300
I'll message you
