Default Acculift Hatch Lift

I'm in the process of cleaning everything up in the engine compartment and am now addressing the hatch lift. The powder coating was coming off the tube so I took it off and polished the tube and had to install a new grease fitting. Anyway, at the end of the tube where the actuator comes out it looks like there is some sort of roll pin in there.

Is there some sort of seal on the end of the tube? Anyone have or can take a picture of the end of the tube for me. It seems like my lift bounces around a little when opening and I think if there was something in the end of the tube it would stiffen things up a little.

Well as it would go there isn't a lot of info on the Internet on these things. I took it all apart and rebuilt. Good as new.
