Was this the boat from New Hampshire? Just curious nothing behind the question at all.

It was in NH then it went to Canada. I got it from up there.

I would also keep post #25 in mind while looking for evidence...

I will give you a call as soon as I get everything cut out that I think I have to cut out. I am starting to come up with some idea on how I think I can fix this up. Maybe not quite as in depth as Glassdaves repair but still significantly stronger then it ever was from the factory...

After seeing ti cut up and watching Dave work on it and the way he did it, I think it is kind of like doing a transom in that, sure you can try and surgically remove the rotted section and fit new pieces in scarf it all together and glass the section in, but by the time your done messing with it, it would just be easier, less hassle and a better repair to replace the entire transom.

Dave and I had a long conversation about this just this AM. I may very well go the same rout as Dave is on Chris's boat. The bottom line is this. You have to cut this crap out slowly. It can not come out all in one piece. So For now I am going to keep doing that. So far I have gotten lucky to be able to take out pieces that are MUCH larger then Dave was able to do. I think that I am going to run into some more difficulty on the other side as it seems to be a bit stronger. Time will tell. At the end of the day there is no repair that I will be doing that won't be a significant leap up in structural strength from what was originally done. It did last 15 years this way...:pray:

Chris sorry your boat got vandalized like that! ;-) If I can get some of my Fountain of Youth bottom cleaner I will get some photos of mine as soon as I can. May be another 2 or 3 weeks. All my bottom spider cracks seem to be between the middle and center stringer. Looks like Chris's was moving in a few more places then mine?

FYI: From when I took a Formula Factory tour around 2000, they talked about the woodless stringer grid, and how it was "suspended" above the hull, with "flexable tabs" (my words) connecting the two. Now that was over 15 years ago, so I think I'm remembering it correct.

Chart, I think that one of the characteristics of the Plexus is that it will move a little bit. I seem to recall reading in a number of places that the Plexus can absorb some of the impact. The problem I believe with my boat anyhow and I assume Chris's as well was that there were just way to many places that did not have the plexus. Most concerning to me was the misses around the stringers. This just seems like the boat was on borrowed time as it will flex in the area that it should be the stiffest.
