Actually that is the one thing that I did not use. What I wanted to use was a match and gas! LOLf

Last week I dropped off the boat to the glass shop. Today I stopped in and they are going to start it tomorrow they said. They asked me to remove all the wire from the middle of the engine bay so that they could have some more room and give a better end result. It seems to me that the cushion clamps are all aluminum? They were all corroded (galvanic) so that is going to add another layer of repairs as soon as I get the boat back I will be replacing many many things in the engine bay.

Also forgot to say that the products that we are going to use in the core repair are CoreCell, epoxy resin, and of course glass and filler. We are still trying to decide on the paint product that will be used. They give me a different answer last time I was there but I am not worried I am sure it will be fantastic what ever they do. They keep telling me that they are going to vacuum bag everything. I am not sure why on such seemingly small repairs but they said they are, so again we shall see.

Things are moving along on the boat. Weather has cooled down a bit so they have been able to get the boats out of the shop that were in front of me. The boat is at http://www.glasstechboat.com in Gloucester MA. So far I am very happy with the communication from them and the concern that the correct products are selected for this repair.

Loving the care that has been taken to protect the boat from dust.

They got the core fit in and bonded down.

Anxiously waiting for more updates to come. :-)

Did you ever find the Transducer?

Audiofn 08-28-2016 05:43 AM

For the depth sounder? If so no I did not. I think that is farther forward in the boat isn't it?

The transducer in my 292 is located under the step in the cabin. I know its a different boat but maybe the same area anyway.

Well got the call last night. It is all done! Now I have to rewire and put the motors back in. Looks great I will get pictures ASAP.
