Many moons ago I had a 2000/271 Fastech with about the same HP and gear ratio and that's the prop I ran.

Hi

I am far from shure what kind of speed you will get...
I have a friend at Lake Norman with the same boat as you 496 special version 600 + hp Arround 72 mph...
I have a 271 Sr1 with a 496 HO Bravo XR 62 mph GPS so far with a Mirage plus 23 :-)

And then you have this article :

https://books.google.no/books?id=R0P...epage&q&f=true

Please let us know your results ;-)

The last post in this thread were my results... And noticing your location, on the same stretch of water you'll be using.

I think under perfect conditions and with the correct prop, and 625 hp 74/75 mph should be possible.
You have 200 hp more then me, my 62 mph was with 2 persons and 3/4 fuel tank and kind of flat water.
I am sure I will reach 63 mph under perfect conditions ....
