I have also run a 30 and 32 pitch prop but have switched back to the 28 pitch because the planning was sooo slow. It does pretty good with the 28 pitch even without using the tabs. I think your boat had a -1 or -2 lower which would make it even slower getting up on plane. You should be happy with the 28p. Jeff Wurl

Good to hear, it used to have a shorty - standard drive now.
With the 30 that's on it it is horrible with more than 4 people in the boat.
