I am looking at AC units for my 1998 280ss. I would like to hear everyone's experience of cooling off such a small cabin. I'd like to know what's the best bang for the buck & how you set them up or installed them from hatch unit, installed AC (where & how), or portable units in the cabin with venting hose.

Id also like to hear opinions on extended Swim platforms. Price, installation ease, how they hold up, slow boat performance or getting on plane, damaging transom. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
