I have a 2008 353 with 600's. Platinum graphics, A/C, smartcraft and about 150hrs. Lift kept at my house in NJ. 50/50 on selling. Depends on the price offered.

It should run a little better than mid 80s, our old 353 with 525/ITS ran 82-83 with some 84 in there. With 600s/ITS should be 87-89 if everything is set-up correctly, and props are straight and clean. That was the info from a few I ran across before buying our 525 boat 3-4 years back.

Does ITS make any speed difference or the same as Bravos on boxes? Do you know what props are on the 600 boat? Thanks.

In doing all the fine tuning and research on our 05 353 525s w/ ITS, ITS or another brand of box helps speed 3-5 MPH on the 353s when dialed in. For example got to compare an 08 353 525s without ITS to ours side by side running during a poker run. The 08 topped out at 78, same props and comparable hours on engines, that day I was running 83. I think the 5 MPH might be on the high end, there is a definite speed advantage with boxes on the 353.

I have copies of several Powerboat magazine tests on the 353 with various versions of the 502 and I think all but the carb HP500 ran over 80 according to Teague. I was getting 79 with the carb version using boxes and non labbed Bravo 30's before doing the motors over. Couldn't find anywhere in the tests where they stated whether the test boats had boxes though. To me the top speeds reported seemed a bit liberal, although the boat Formula supplied for testing could have had a light layup or raised X-Dimension. The older tests also only used speedo and radar, where the newer ones use GPS. The radar numbers were always a few mph higher for some reason. Many variables!
