Some what interested, does anyone know the history of the boat? The ad reads 40hrs since rebuilt but leaky headers. I know there is history with CMI headers and merc but how serious is it with so little run time?

Currently 9 of them in the classifieds but I'd guess it's this one...

(40 hours since rebuild etc etc.

Also 5 353's listed. That's a lot of Fastechs on the market at the moment.

Those CMI "E" tops were not as prone to leaking as the full headers were.

Yes that is the boat I am talking about. It's only 5hrs from me but with leaky headers should I just stay away? How serious is the problem?

I just dropped the price enough to pay for the headers. I don't have time to deal with it.

That's a lot of boat for $60K. CMI's have been known to get cracks in them and leak. If you are afraid of putting new CMI's back on or having them sent back to CMI for repair, you can look to a manifold type exhaust like Stainless Marine. Great looking boat!!!!!!

Got a set of CMI's from a 525 if interested, not sure if they are different.

Buy the boat (its a steal) toss the headers, and call Bill at Diamond Performance and order a set of KE headers, and your problem is solved for $2900 bucks (a side) and the labor.
