I got around the island of Ocean City,I went out Corsons inlet on the South side and came in the Great Egg Inlet on the North side. I do this almost every time I go out, it was just a bit rougher than normal this time. I don't have a camera, at least not a waterproof one, and we were taking some serious spray over the bow. The distance between inlets in the ocean was roughly 7 miles.

I so need to do that run...We get to experience the entire Chesapeake Bay but no ocean running..... Sounds like a blast.

This is how rumors and mis-information starts...just like the kid down the street that says he can maintain 60mph on his jet ski in 3-4's. but whatever...

These threads never seem to end up well. Only a matter of time before some one shows up and tells us that the waves in the great lakes is worse... :-)

The article linked makes billpor's point, wave height is measured from trough to crest.
