Thats a sharp 303 88242LS! I should be heading over to the east coast of Florida to check out a 303 with 454 mags in it tomorrow. After running the Bayliner yesterday on a super busy boating day, I'm ready to get my mojo back! I have
desperately missed my 292 since the day I sold it almost eight long years ago. I got a sweet deal on this Bayliner just to get boating again. Even though she sure can handle the waves, she sure is short on power. However, I do like carrying two five gallon jugs
of fuel to the dock and instantly I get a half tank of fuel and a half day of boating!!!!!

thanks we love it!

Not sure if you're part of Passion for Powerboats or Powerboat Swap Shop on facebook, but there's a 1999 312, twin 500 efi/hydro steering/k planes, that was just listed. I think has around 280 hours, the boat was for sale in VA two summers ago. As I recall, the motors were transplants out of a salvage boat.

Thanks Gbuttion,
I will take a look

saw that boat, so I take it that it's a saltwater boat with engines from salvage?

I saw that as well. looks pretty clean. I would say it would be pretty close to 80 mph as well.

I can't say exactly, it was listed at Davis Auto Sales in VA 2 years ago. When I spoke to someone there, they said a local marina did the work and could provide details (receipts??) on the work. They're actually on OSO, they have a recent thread in the Sunsation forum, they are becoming a Sunny dealer from what I gathered.

I would definitely reach out to them if you want to get to the bottom of it, as you know from you search, finding that kind of power is rare. That should definitely be a high 70's boat any day of the week.

Here is the link to the thread, their website link is posted within, and of course you can get there user name and message them if you desire.

wow that's nice, but out of my price range for a 312. There are 353 and 382's for that kind of $$.

Priobe 02-22-2017 05:48 AM

Yup, agreed. At that price, I found myself looking at 353. Not to mention the added maintenance for those motors. Also, read that those motors only last 500 -600 hrs. Is that true?
