Here are a couple boats I mentioned. Not what you asked about but close. Detroit one may be sold.

one of the few boats I've seen this year produced fairly. Used boat prices have been a joke, but they seem to be coming down

Yeah. I missed it by a couple hours.

I was gonna call the Detroit one, but I wasn't sure how the 311 performed with the 454 mags. I really liked how my 292sr1 performed with the 454 mags, so maybe they perform similar?

Detroit one is supposedly sold this Tues. But he is taking names and numbers. The Milwaukee 271 looks clean but priced high in my opinion. There is also a inexpensive 272 with 350's in KC on CL.

I talked to the Milwaukee guy. I dig the color scheme on that 272. But, he isn't real negotiable. For that kind of money, I'll hold out for a 292sr1, 303sr1 or a 311sr1. There is a seemingly nice 272 in Austin Tx. But, after
a few conversations with the seller, I couldn't get a good feeling about the whole deal enough to go thru with it.

Southwest Michigan (Detroit Metro etc) and NW Ohio freshwater boats would be perfect for me because I have a few family members that would be able to check things out for me.

Yeah the Mikwaukee one looks good but is about 10 to high in my opinion. Do you have the info on the 272 in Texas? I am looking for a 272 I found a couple but nothing has jumped out at me yet.

IL/MO area. I found that one in Austin Tx on FB. I have a lead on one but would really like the red color scheme and this one isn't that.

the thing that turned me off was that the boat was NOT registered/titled in the current owners name. So, do your dilengence and go for it!
