Assume props are stock full diameter with diffuser. Have a 1/4" taken off and leading edges sharpened. You need to get into your usable rpm before making major changes. Maximus is a thick heavy prop out of the box. The most helpful mod would be extension boxes or ITS once you get rpm up and a baseline established. Fastech hulls respond well to boxes.

Yes but now im going for Arnesons surface drives, so would like to hear what simular boats runs for #6 props.

From what I recall I believe Arneson has done 4-5 382's with their drives (and various power). They should be alot of help in getting you propped right.

Looking at used Arneson Asd7m's .... 25K without Transmissions .....even 25K with Trans ... maybe 3-5K in new parts .....10K for props ..... whew ..... If you pay someone for the install was told 200 hours ....... if you go all new add 25k .........m

The average cost to install the Arneson Kits for the customer is around 5k..

200 hrs to install the drives is just wrong. The installation of the Arneson part itself is less than 3 hrs. Just gotta drill 10 stud holes and the stand-off box is on the transom.

How long it takes to remove and install engines?
