Remove 353 V-Berth Panel and Couch Cushions

Does anyone know how to remove the v-berth panel in a 2002 353? My anchor locker drain is clogged and I would like to get access to the drain hose to check what's clogging it.

Also, does anyone know how to remove the couch cushions in the cabin? Thinking about adding A/C some day and would like to know how to remove them so the plumbing and electrical can be run under the cushion.

You don't want to access the hose from inside if you have water sitting in the anchor locker. You'll get an awful mess inside your boat.
Best to use a flexible probe, like a wire snake, from the outside drain fitting into your locker. May need to add water to the locker to help flush out the crud. Likely mud/vegetation came up with your anchor and is clogging the line. Formula made that drain line too small in my opinion.

I want to know also how to remove the starboard side Lounge seat on my 292. Want to add AC

There was never anything but a dry line and a spider or two in that anchor locker.

I man pretty sure you can access that drain line by just removing the mirror section in the front. Jeff wurl

No way an AC unit will fit under there

If you dive into the area between the upright back cushion and the seat cushion there probably are a couple Phillips screws buried

Under where? I installed the shorter seat on the Stbd side and I'm going to have a cabinet made to house the A/C

I guess that will work. You implied under the seat

I didn't imply anything. And where above did I say that I want the A/C unit under the seat?

It's a little on the ghetto side. But this last weekend I sat a 5k btu window unit at the base of my door to the berth and ran it off a Honda 2000. Worked great just had to set it up and when I got done I set it in the floor in front of the step.

Redneckcustoms13,I've had a Pompanette Thru-Hatch Portable Air Conditioner for 2 years now. I store it like you do. And I don't have to tell you what has to be done when you want to go somewhere. That's why I'm customizing the interior of mine. I'll add a couple of 120 outlets, and a microwave also.

:hijack: You asked about how to remove a lounge seat and wanted to add AC. You didn't mention anything about having a cabinet built.
I'll make sure not to respond to any other questions you might have about anything:rolleyes:

Great. Because your answers have been no help at all

Thanks, I will check.

I was able to get the anchor locker drain cleared by adding water, blowing out/up the drain from the bottom with an air compressor, shop vacing up the dirt and water and repeating several times. There wasn't much, but drain hose must be really small.

Just curious how you picked your handle?
