400ss shift cables Volvo D6 350’s

i need to replace a shift cable on my 07 400ss, Volvo D6 350’s with DPH drives... can someone explain the process? Most importantly does the drive need to come off?

No drive stays. Unhook cable from the drive and from the shift actuator and pull or push your choice. New cables needs to be 6'minimum.
