Default hour meters and speedo not working

Hey all. I posted this in another section as well. This is weird and hoping someone can give some insight as to why. This actually happened last summer and my marina never got to it before it went back in this year. The only thing done last year was a new Garmin plotter. I assumed they disconnected something when they installed it but yesterday they opened the dash and said all the gauges have juice to them. The tachs do work. He says the gauges need replacement or rebuilding. Does this sound right? All three at the exact same time? I don't think the speedo is related to the hour meters? Any thoughts? Thanks.

Do I take it that your speed-o is GPS?
The hour meters run off the purple wire which is switched ON by the ignition key. Look under the helm and see if 12V is still going to it. Same goes for the speed-o if its GPS. If speed-o uses a pitot tube, then look for water coming in somewhere

The marina said there was power going to the hour meters.

Only way to verify is check your self with a voltmeter. The meters also need a ground, so if either are missing it doesn't work

Thanks for some ideas and replies. Interesting update. Since the marina opened the dash to look and suggested new meters or rebuild, I am seeing an accurate hour reading on the port side. It is faint and the starboard is too faint to see. These all light up normally and apparently are just digital send outs from the engine . I think the marina is correct. The meters need refreshing. Thanks again.
