I went with black on mine but that was because I was keeping the color in line with the transom. Others have used an accent color... Josh aka Distant Thunder, matched his to the magenta that’s part of the Palm Beach paint scheme. It really popped!
Black would tie in nicely with your black stripe.
No matter which way you go, get the platform powered coated. The finish will last a long time.
One more thing... our transoms are curved toward the bow at the outer edges. A typical Baja platform may not fit without really putting stress on the platform and/or transom. The one I used had brackets in between the exhaust tips.

Looks good TomZ. I was thinking white or black. I’ve seen fuchsia before which really makes the back end pop. I decided to ask the wife what she thought about a color and she’s thinking one of the teal colors. So that might not look to bad. Might let her pick this one!

Alright so when the time comes to install the new platform any suggestions on what to do? Beside the obvious of measuring twice drill once. Fasten with stainless steel hardware. Should I use any sealents or adhesives around anything. What about when I put the tow hooks and stuff back on to fill the holes where the original platform was taken off? Just want the beat possible outcome with this. Trust me all your help and opinions are very much appreciated!!! Ive gotten to talk to so many great people with great ideas and opinions I am so greatful to have this forum.

With exception to the two bottom trailer u-bolts, I filled all of the holes on my transom with dowels dipped in resin, then used a ‘glass filler to finish it. I had the whole thing done in about two days including paint (easy with black).
When attaching the platform, I used 4200 just around the bolts as they went into the transom. I had the platform supported with straps spacing it out away from the transom so it was t too hard getting the sealant on the bolts. You want the sealant between the platform and the transom.
On the inside I applied 4200 to the bolts coming through, and then sandwiched it in using the backing plates that came with the platform.
All in all I think I spent about three hours getting the platform on the boat... by myself.

One last note... I was using fast cure 4200 (I wanted to be able to use the boat soon after) but let it cure for a week before carefully taking a razor knife to the areas where the sealant squished out. I didn’t do the insides, but will when I have the port engine out to replace the trans (hopefully in a few weeks... been lazy).

Well my used plat form showed up yesterday. and of course its not a perfect fit. No ones fault but my own. looks like it will have to go to the welder and see what can be done with it.
Tomz any chance you can show me a few different angles of how yours mounts? would be greatly appreciated.
