My wife is pregnant with our first child, luckily for me it's a boy. With him being due on May 22 I have to have the boat ready and in the water as soon as possible. The marina opens up on the 15th of May so it will be close. With the kid going to be on the boat I need to get him some shade. I'm going to br ordering a bimini for the 242 and dont have it home right now to take measurements. I was curious if anyone has the factory sizes or one that fits wells size. Also if you have one how do you store it. I dont want my cover to have openings for it due to more places for rain to come in. Also I dont want it up seeing all the sun when I'm not using it. Any and all info is appreciated.
p.s. it looks like I will be in the market for an open bow in a couple years. Hopefully the wife let's me add another to the fleet without loosing either of the 2 we have now.

I bought a bimini from northstar in ohio. 7'10" long. All stainless poles and hardware. It covers the rear seat and when folded down it is behind the backrest. My mooring cover covers it when stowed. I'll post pictures later .

Thanks I appreciate the pictures. I may go that route but my boat already has the factory mounting points on the wondshield. I was looking more for one that goes off the windshield of the later years.

New cover and bimini
I just picked it up from the canvas guy. He made me a new cover and a wrap fro the bimini to match for 850.00. I went with mounting it outside the windshield since I bought one that was to wide

Thanks, now I just need a nice summer the last year to get the 454 MPI running right. With a full tank fo gas and the tabs down the boat takes a 1/4 mile to plane off. I'm doing a whole tune up this week and hoping it helps. Also it is only tacking 3900 WOT with a 21p mirage plus.

Well, I'm trying to attach a pdf but I'm not sure it is digging that. Send me a request at [email protected] and I will help you out if this doesn't come through.
