Okay...I own the salvaged boat now.
Anyone interested in some motors that pushed the F311 to 78 mph gps with 4 blade 28P props?
500+ hp, 300 hour of fresh water and about 11.5 hours of salt water (Gulf of Mexico).
New Latham stainless steel hoses and elbows,
New Diamond Performance flushing kits (already installed)
Bravo lube just flushed/replaced and new raw water impellers

Did water get into engine bay?

not going to speak for the gentleman who suffered the loss, but if you look at his posts, his boat was nose down on a lift, so I doubt there was water in the engine bay.

No water in the engine bay/area...dry and ALL equipment/batteries operable trim, tilt, etc.... In fact, dash switches and (even with the water in the nose) the front cabin lights and stereo still work.

Hurricane Sally took my boat and my support system (dock, boathouse, lift) so I don't have any convenient way to use her yet...but "Blew Bayou Too" has arrived!

glad to see your still in a Formula! Whats the details on the new Bird?

Nice ride! Hopefully you'll have your dock and lift up and running before boating season. How much love are you going to have to give this new ride? Looks pretty clean from here.

This one is also a 1988 Formula 311 SR-1 and it mimics my original boat. Its from Grande Isle, NY (fresh water) and has about 50 hours on a complete bottom/hull redo and a pair of built big blocks (489 kits-592/593 hp) and Bravo drives. Frankly, she needs nothing...a good place to start! :-)

Good for you!

That’s awesome that you were able to bounce back after a devastating blow and Congrats on finding a replacement, she looks great!

Those engines sound healthy, wonder if they’ll fit in the 357 nicely m.

Now I have to get moving ($$$) on the dock/lift/etc...:-(
