Default Tachometer stopped working, ideas? 1986 242

Tach worked when I started it up this spring. Finally got on the water this year. (Thanks Michigan ) and it's not working. It's the square style if that matters. 1986 242LS

any ideas on where to start?

Check the wiring on the back. Clean, Reseat all of the connections. There is a cylinder select switch on the back, note the position and move it back and forth through the range and back to the start point. If none of this works beat the living shutup out of the gauge as it has bitten the bullet! Good luck finding one I looked for over a year and MASI looked for several months.
