I don’t have Sea Deck on my boat but I have friends with it and have been on many others with it. It’s feels good under foot and looks good too when it matches the rest of the trim. The light colors tend to get dingy. I think it would be great in your ‘03. There are a few different brands now, but the cheap options that I have seen look cheaper.

Do Marine Mat. It can be snapped in as opposed to glued (seadek) ....makes it nice to be able to take out to clean. We had it in our 353....

Curious if you put it on the swim step too. I'm gonna put something on the 292 swimstep and had good luck with SeaDek on the last boat but that is for sure a glue down application.

SEADECK is crap!!!! I had my entire cockpit/salon/swimstep done in Florida. 400SS. Everything the warranty excluded happened in the first 3 months. Shrink, overheat bs..bla bla.
When I ripped it out it took me 2 weeks to get the transfer goo out of the nonskid. We then went with a Infinity tommy bahama weave vinyl carpet. Big Bucks but really nice.

It's funny you say that...

Here on the gulf coast a whole bunch of folks are getting into the new luxury cc boats and they are all coming with seadek in them. We put a seadek pad at the helm of our contender and holy night and day difference batman!
That said, I asked a lot of folks up around lake Martin and other high dollar boating areas about the seadek and I only goonly guy say the same exact thing you said. Peeled up, glue was a nightmare, faded, just all around bad product. I havent been disappointed at all by the little helm pad though.
