Default 500 EFI RPMS at Top Speed on 353?

Added some Blue power to my 353 this summer.

Trying to figure out props, as I'm running Bravo ZXs, 30' Bravos - no extension boxes.

The water / air temps haven't been right for a good run, but have noticed I'm only at 4500 RPM - trimmed to 5 (probably could have gone more on trim) on an 87F day. Tabs up

RPMS seem low - but before I got into too much cruiser chop I was as at 75 on the GPS. The boat run 55@3500, 65@4000 trimmed to 4 - which are great numbers for my boating - Tabs Up.

I think I have the stock 500 EFI drive/prop setup. Wondering if Formula tweaked the props for the 353 or if they were out of the box? Or do I have something limiting my top end power (verified blades are full open on the TB)?

Awesome, thx for the info. I was able to hit 78 at 47-4800 at 5-6 on a calm night, should get to 80 with some chop and cooler temps. the Boat accelerates out ohop but but only had a few boat wakes to run across.

Bought these props off my buddy, he played with props on his Cig and can't say for certain if B-Blades didn't touch them (he had 4-5 sets). They are not labbed, but wondering if they are 31's on 30 hubs.

Morning!..Buddy of mine has a 353 with 500efi blue motors...similar drive set up..although his boat factory came with 26's, Runs solid and mid 70's...but can pull 5250 all day long...+/-.....
My 353 has 525's with Bravo XZ drives and boxes... I run 30's on mine..OEM pitch according to build sheet..and have no issues seeing 5200/5300 Rpm regardless of crazy temps we've had this summer...Boat has a recorded top speed of 87 mph...but haven't had the opportunity to try myself (new to me in July)...

Just thought I'd throw out info we are running with

Thx for the info. I was not aware they shipped 500 efis with 26’s, my 502’s had 28’s.

my understanding is 30’s were on 500 efi/zx setups and hit 80. May explain why 26’s run mid 70’s
