Default 302 Questions

I have found a potential recipient for my drive train, an 84 Formula 302.
What is the rough water performance of these hulls? Lake Huron so close together sets of small 2' rollers and random large 1'++ chop going every direction
What would performance expectation be with 620hp and SSMIII drives be?
I expect it is a full on restoration, stringers and transom.
Thanks Jason

I had a 1984 a few years ago. Mine had 330s with b&m 174 blowers with trs drives. Loved that boat.bthat boat is perfect for what you would be driving in. Very solid boat. I rode in 29 fountains that beat you to death. The 302 is a wave crusher takes some power to get moving which you have. The cabin is big for a 30 so is the cockpit but engine bay is cramped. Any questions ask away

Great boat. Lighter than the 311. Formula won the Southeast divisional title in B-class with that hull. She should run great your power.

The only issue with the 302 is the potential for rot so make sure to check it over thoroughly.

Thanks for the input, it's 6 hours away from me, so waiting for lots of pictures before heading out. I expect to be replacing stringers and transom
Thanks Jason

I received some pictures, it's a basket case. I'm sure would be a full gut redo.
My question is: has anyone seen a notched transom in a SR302?
At first when he told me it was notched, I figured it was a KAAMA boat, but looks like TRS or SSM to me
