We've have big plans for this boat, going to be one of baddest 357's around.Big H.P. All new interior, custom paint, aero marine style acrylic windshield. We will upload pics as we make progress.Been looking forward to doing this build, haven't been able to find to many of these boat done really nice out there.(not taking anything away from the one's that are out there, but just haven't seen to many customs).Your imput always appreciated.

Cant wait to see it...

Looking forward to seeing this as well. As an owner of a low hour, factory original 357 you have my attention. I miss the speed of my 292 but the ride quality in the rough of the 357 cannot be beaten for these old birds. Get those 10 posts so we can see the progress.
|
Agreed!
Keep posting and get some pics uploaded. |
Let’s see them pics!!!!!
cant wait to follow this |

Yes, you are so right about the ride of the 357. After I purchase the boat I ran it for a couple of months before tearing it down really impressed of the ride in the rough water
|
OP, you can do what everyone seems to do and fire off a succession of short posts to run up your count to 10, then post the pics of your 357 as everyone is keen to see them.
just a hint... |

So I have a nice set of engines for someone wanting to step up a little.
|
357 resto
540's. 600 hp. They are the engines that came with the boat when I purchased it.They supposably only had 41hrs on them, but I decided to open them up and freshen them up while I had them out.

The fastest I got on GPS is 73.8.The previous owner told me when he had nose cones on the drives ,it picked it up 2 more mph. But I honestly think they'll be good for a few more miles per hour since we freshen them up we change a few things to squeeze out a little more HP.Before going into them they were 565-575 HP.New engines going in are tall deck 604's,985 HP.
|
985 HP? Holy sh!t!!
This is getting interesting! |
If he dont post a GD picture in the next day we need to send someone to his house to kick him in his nutz...

Wasn’t expecting the chocolate brown! It’s really classy.
Two questions.... 1. Do you have the original lower switch panels for the dash? Interested in selling? I wouldn’t it need the breaker switches. 2. What are the the small holes in the inner transom wall for? Core samples and injection sites? Just curious. TZ |
357 resto
No sorry, it was missing all the dash panels,I had to Fab new ones up.And yes them .250 inch holes I drilled to inject some epoxy.A little area didn't sound quite as dense as it should.trandsom seemed Rock solid except for that one area. Thanks for the compliment on the interior.I had a lot of mixed reviews on it.
|
Certainly some 80s vibes from the color, but it's in such good condition, I'll allow it :)
