Hello, I've been reading all the great info on here for Formula for a few weeks and thought I should register. I bought my 272 1st week of May and I've learned quite a bit on here already. Mine is a twin 330hp 454 Magnum with 667 hours and has sat motionless for several years. The hull, transom, etc. are all good by the way.
I'm sure I'll have more questions as I dive deeper into this neglected 'prehistoric raptor', but presently I need to replace a few of my VDO gauges (UV damage, lens is no longer clear) and all of the upholstery in the cockpit.
Does anyone know of a place that sells bolsters or any used ones for sale? All of the upholstery shops in my area are 4-5 months back logged.

Welcome to the Formula Family and I look forward to seeing your new bird.
Recently Sick Stinger was parting out a 311SR1, the components would work for your boat.
I had a set of gauges like that and I was able to disassemble them and polish the lens out.

I was able to take my gauge panel out and pop the lenses off, however 2 of them were yellow from UV damage (both were the oil pressure gauges oddly enough).

no problem! Can’t wait to see the pictures. He usually has a few good VDO gauges on his shelf. I used them before in my old birds.
