what's it worth.........357SR1
Hello, boys and girls. I'm looking at one in Canada and was wondering what they are worth in the states. Might be cheaper to wait for the border to reopen and buy down in the states. The 357SR1 I'm looking at is in excellent condition. The engines are new.
Only have a pic of the engines. Its an 89.

Oh, $35k CDN at current exchange rates is around $28k USD. Maybe the one I'm looking at isn't such a great deal. I'm also looking at a 1990 42 Fountain Lightning. If the Formula turns out to be a good deal, I'll buy both. The Formula will be an ocean boat and the Fountain will be my lake boat. Then I'll sell the Fountain next season assuming the land border is open! Get a straight bottom Top Gun. The Fountain is easier to find ads for. Not seeing many Formula's. I like the looks of the Formula.

Oh, with CDN sales tax of 12%, Id be into the Formula for $65k USD. I like it and can't find any advertised in Canada or the states. I'm trying to get a survey done on it and make a deal with the seller. Id be more comfortable at being into it for $57k USD. Or is that too much?

Woah, that is an awesome 357SR1. I have never seen that engine package in one before, the biggest engines I’ve seen so far in a 357 was 575’s with speed master drives and that boat went for mid-$20,000’s recently due to health issues of the owner.
Typical 357SR1s in the states are going for $30,000 - $45,000 for the more common 420/TRS setup these days.

The one I'm looking at is pristine. 9 out of 10. Willing to pay a premium based on the engines being freshly rebuilt and a rare package. Working on getting him down on price, hoping the survey gives more leverage my way.
