The aluminum plate is wrapped in a matte vinyl. For now it’ll work until we settle on patterns for both sides.

The wiring is still not optimal but at least it’s a lot better than it was. I will move the switches to the original locations eventually. I like the rocker switches but. It where they are. The original plate with cup holder will go back in place once the switches are moved. That’ll be in the off-season I’m thinking.

I think it came out pretty nicely. Hoping to need to upgrade to a higher-reading speedometer (wishful thinking)!

That looks much better Tom! I know how tedious and the patience it takes to figure it all out do it right. I can’t believe Formula would wire it up like that with most everything else being first class.

Not if but when (I’m confident you will get there) you upgrade the speedo, put me first in line to buy that one, it goes high enough for my boat.

wow.... that took patience. Looks good. A lot of gauges and they are laid out well. The red lights work awesome in comparison to the own VDO. Nice job Tom!

Once I got going, it was t too bad. It was tedious at times.

Formula didn’t do this; not completely anyway. There lots of hands in it afterward.

And thanks! I’m pretty happy with it.

Looks good man! The wiring under my dash is original and looks tidy and neat. I bought the Deutsch connector kit and figured I would do the same when we do new gauges if we do. When I bought our boat the gauges looked like new, lately the clear acrylic lens is showing quite a bit of crazing. Seeing yours kinda makes me want to order the carbon background with polished bezel gauges and give her an update. Gps speedo of course to get the little pitot thingy off of the transom.

My 242 was factory original and nothing like what I found in the 311. The people that did the rigging have a big reputation hence me not naming names. To say I was caught off guard by how bad it was is an understatement.

Next off-season, I’m going to put in the original lower panels that I got from Chad with new switches, then cut back a lot of harness mess. The acrylic too will go back on and I’ll have a cup holder again.

Your plan sounds good Tyler! The carbon fiber will look great with new gauges and bezels.

Nice work! Looks good.

Your panel looks great ........
I could not agree more about the factory wiring mess.....
When I redid my F-302 panel in '92 I pulled "all" the wiring out of the boat.. I am pretty sure that they used a generic 40' harness. I had wiring double and triple folded and jammed in everywhere.
It was a real pleasure to rewire it correctly with proper gage wiring and relays..... this was a poor mans panel but way better than factory.
yes, the fuel pressure is intentionally upside down so you could read it while standing ;)
