353 transom assembly
 

Currently doing a top end refresh on my 525s. While the engines are out i want to replace the port side transom assembly. Starboard was done by previous owner. Question is are these hp assemblies fron the factory ? I know my indicators are mechanical but there is a sender on them for trim limit I believe. No luck finding a hp assembly with sender so far.

The HP assembly uses a single 3 wire trim and limit sender. Merc says to use one with a analog gauge you need a digital to analog converter. I installed one a few years back and never did get it to work.

I had the same issue with the hp i put on my previous boat, even with the converter the gauge was never accurate. I managed to track down a hp with a sender for the Formula. Part Number was changed at some point, why I was having issues locating one.
