New to the Forum and new to being a Formula owner. Just had the maiden voyage on my '87 242-LS. Great boat, looking forward to an awesome summer. My boat doesn't have a tow hook on the transom, does anyone how much reinforcement needs to be done to add one? Even better, if someone here has a 242 with a tow hook will you post some pics of it?

My 242 had the tow hook installed in between the stern grab handles. It was attached to a stainless tube that was lag-bolted to the transom on the inside.

Separate note... I never used the one sticking up in the middle. Using the tow loops on the Silent Thunder platform, I used this for towing tubes:

Next time I am at my 242 I will remember to take pics of the tow hooks on the transom.
