Default Silent Thunder ports

I unabashedly like the looks of my Silent Thunder on the 311 SR-1. Mine has already been gutted and bottom drilled. I am wondering if anyone has tried additional lightening methods like cutting additional "windows" in some of the "low weight bearing" areas near the center and outboard exhausts?

My concern is that the openings would "pack" water into the platform at any speed under full plane
