Default For Sale - 1989 311 w/ MYCO trailer

Well the time has come to list my 311 for sale. I'm going to be listing on Facebook later today but figured I would post it here first.

Exceptionally clean 1989 Formula 311 SR1 with 685 hours sitting on a MYCO tandem axle (7k pound axles) trailer with electric over hydraulic brake conversion. Mercruiser 7.4l (330hp) & Bravo drives. 23P Mirage Stainless Props. Cockpit & cabin are in pristine condition. Absolutely no rips or tears in any of the vinyl. The gelcoat/Imron paint shines like new with zero faded areas. Original Bimini top with full camper enclosure (only used a handful of times and in like new condition). 2 bank onboard charger. All lights have been switched over to LED. Full Fusion/Kicker stereo system. Includes cockpit cover, bow cover & full boat cover. Stored indoors most of its life and freshwater since new.

Recent Maintenace:
  • 2022 - Swivel pins / Steering cable / Helm / Bellows & shift boots / seawater impellers
  • 2021 – EMI Manifolds w/ Stainless risers, Batteries
The boat is easily a 9.5/10. I know everybody says it, but it is 100% accurate in this case that it might be one of the cleanest 311’s you can find. The pictures honestly don’t do the boat justice. The boat gets compliments every time I take it out and no one can believe it when I tell them it’s an 89. The boat needs nothing and has been nothing but reliable since I have owned it. I’m probably forgetting a lot of stuff but if you have any questions just ask.

$35k OBO. Includes the original 3 ring binder. Many more pictures available.

Definitely a sweet example! Saw your listing in the SR1 group on FB. Good luck with the sale!

Thanks Tom! Definitely hurts to sell it. Not many left in this condition.

Why are you selling? For 35K it's almost worth just keeping even if you float it a few times a year. Museum pieces are becoming scarce.

Trust me it pains me to sell the 311 but I stumbled into a really good deal on a 353 so I made the jump. Unfortunately I don't have a need for 2 similar size boats. It's going to be hard to see this one go though...

Sold! Be on the lookout in the Syracuse NY area.

I was blown away by how much interest the boat pulled on the different Facebook groups. I was optimistic it would sell pretty quick but wasn't really prepared for it to be honest. Within 20 minutes of the Ad being published the now new owner had made arrangements to come see it last Saturday. Left a deposit and the rest is history.

Definitely sad to see this one go.

Hopefully you had a bidding war. $35K for a turn key boat on a trailer is a steal.

No I was probably way to nice and understanding but I feel like I did the right thing and held the boat for 2 days on his word alone so he had a chance to come see it. I could tell he was very serious and I know how frustrating it can be buying a boat from out of state. Most importantly I feel like it's going to a very good home and will be very well cared for.
