Default Dash plate

Bought a Garmin 182 back in sept. I need blank dash plate to eliminate speedo head and re configure guage set up. Formula tells us it is not available without holes.I saw in Hot boat an ad for plates but can't seem to locate any help would be appreciated.
Or other places you might know.

Thanks,
AKA 292 Fastech

Donzilla,

Had put a RayMarine 425 Chartplotter in my 303 SR1 last year and got the same response from Formula and the manufacture of the original dash panel. I called a few of the aftermarket places and really wasn't impressed. There is a local machine shop near me who I hired to do the work cutting out the aluminum and setting the studs for the gauges, then off to the powdercoater for paint. (I have VDO factory gauges which are secured to the back of the dash with countersunk studs not visible from the front) I paid around $400 for the whole job. I did the layout, repositioned some of the gauges and removed my speedo too. You can e-mail me if you have any questions at [email protected]. Hope this helps! Dave

You might look iinto finding a engraving company in your area, they can do almost anything you need from putting the holes in to engraving the names, a Formula signature and much more. The plastic comes in many colors so you could really make in look trick.

Good luck

Thanks,Dave and Jim
I was looking for a custom powder coated dash plate that had back ground graphic.Just can't remember where or what magazine I saw it. I do have a good fabricator with access to powder coating. I'll look some more still ice on our bay.

Thanks,
