Question Help with a 271 INDY

Ok here is the deal I found 2 formula 271,s one is a 93 and the other is a 95 INDY there is about a 10K difference between the boats how much is the INDY pkg worth over a standerd boat??

And what is the deal with this INDY pkg , I have seen a 271 in all red that was given to Arie For winning the 1998 Indy 500 it was ALL red. This boat is white with the indy logo on the sunpad. Whats the history behind this????

My understanding is that Formula built some number of '95 271's to commemorate the that year's Indy 500. It was just a graphics package, IIRC. A guy in our marina had one; clean boat, but no real difference from a regular 271, at least as far as I could see.

They were only going to build one ech year to give to the winner, but some years they built 2if the winner wanted different options. Graphics only, no big deal. Might be a little extra value to some people, tho probrably not a lot. Condition, engine option and price should be more important.

Dozilla, I would love to find a BUCKET seat model ?? 93 Or 94 in any color but Pink would love to be in the low 30,s but would go as high as 50K for the right year 97, 98 99, and the right deal .thanks for the heads up

I saw a 1998 271 for sale on boattrader.com up near Buffalo NY. Only 130 hours, fresh water use, 454 mag 385 hp. Sounded like a nice boat. My buddy is looking at one at Trenton Marine. He didn't want to buy one real far away, but fresh water use is a real good thing.

Default Indy 271

Only difference besides graphics and logos is the Indy 271 has K-Planes for tabs and not Bennett.
