Question Wher3e's my shorepower?

I finally found the shorepower receptacle site on my 86 357 but can't seem to get any power to the control panel. The a/c voltmeter shows nothing when I hook up. Is there a fuse somewhere between the receptacle and the control panel?

The shore power cord is brand new and appears to we firmly inserted at both ends.

I have the same boat, I also dont show a reading on the volt meter. You have to switch the main up to get the 110 to the panel. the receptical is in the port side inside the slide panel. try tapping on the voltmeter. Good luck

MAIN breaker has to be on.
Also need to check it whenever reattaching it, since if the ground post comes out first OR doesn't go in first when attaching or reattaching then the breaker will trip due to insufficient ground.

I actually filed down the power legs a little bit on my cord so the ground lug is ALWAYS in the socket when plugging or unplugging. Works well. I leave the cord plugged into the boat and coiled up in the side storage.

ABYC spec's require a breaker within a certain distance of the shorepower inlet. The newer boats have this located under the rear seat. Look around - It's not much bigger than a light switch.
