Give us an update on your 540's. It's about time to splash that thing.

Russ,
I'd love to. But last weekend sucked weather wise , and this weekend doesn't look much better...rain Sat and 65*...partly cloudy and 62 Sunday . I have also been working a lot of OT. Last saturday I bought a new tow vehicle and just got around to wiring the plug for my power winch this morning and between 12:30pm and 1:30pm helped a buddy drop his fresh 406 SB back in his 20' bowrider. Left there 1:30pm and flew to work in Philly at 2 and am working till 12M (YAWN).
Don't worry , I promise to report within a half hour after I get home

Mopower,

I'd like to reserve a ride in your boat with the new power. Maybe I'll bump into you (figuratively) on the river sometime so you can show off those new engines What are you expecting for top end? what was it before?

You can ride on mine if I can ride on yours! (We are talking about boats here)

Tool,
Before was 72 on the speedo and 67/68 gps( damned things always read low ).Mid to upper 80's I would imagine. Gotta try some different props till I get the rpms right. I'm starting with 28 Bravos , but I suspect they won't be enough judging by other boats , weight , size and power and what their running for props.
Maybe tomorrow 5/4/03.
Anything over 80 and I'll be happy

67/68 for a 272 is real good. Were you stock with those numbers? I wonder what it will handl like on the high side of 80.

The day will come sooner or later. You know you can look at it like this, good things come to people that are forced to wait.
