302 hits the water
Well after sitting for two years my newly aquired 302 hit the water today. I have put in about 20 hrs on getting it in shape. New batteries, spooled over the engines using WD30,removing and flushing fuel lines and water seperators.Checking fluids, belts and wiring. Even test fired before going to the boat launch. I was a little nervous, never had twins before but around the dock its easier than a single to maneuver. Went out in 2 footers, what a sweeeeeeet ride, the only problem I had was that one of my K plane fuses blew. It was blown before I got the boat. I removed the motor and found a bad body ground, replaced the ground, worked fine while at home but will have to check elsewhere! My drives (King Cobras) shifted perfectly, the only problem I have is that they dont have gauger's to tell you the angle? Do they make them for King Cobras? Will take some more pix. Oh yeah...what a cool sound when you get both of those big blocks in harmony.

What fuse is blowing? The main power one or just the one that powers the switch? Let me know and I may be able to help ya out. Also are they Bennet tabs or K-planes?
What did ya think the first time you planed that thing off. Kind of exciting isn't it

fuse
The fuse that has blown is the 50amp/32v that is located about 5 inches from the pump motor. It supplys main power to the trim motor solinoids not to the rocker switchs. The tabs are K planes not Bennets.

Check your ground. Also check to make sure that the bolts are tight that hold the power wires going into the pump. You can take a look and you may see burn marks on terminals. It is easy to get a terminal in there that if it comes loose will short out. If that does not work then it is probably rebuild time.
