Question Option questions?

Ok I am new to my 1998 27 Formula fastech

1. in the cabin on my left are 3 huge white rocker switches, the 2 end switches work lights what does the middle switch work??

2. On the transom shower there is a black presure tank? the blue hose that run fromthe tank back tothe shower head is broken the grey fitting is snapped. Do i need to buy the whole hose assembly? or just the grey fitting?

3. The boat seems to be equipt with a perko strainer set up n motor flush. Where does the water get brought in at to feed the motor? NOT through the drive? but through the bottom of boat through hull opening?

4. The boat is equipt with a macerator discharge, so basicly i can (use the head) and dump flush my stuff right into water ?

Thanks I will be back with more questions as I use the boat!
Ha-Ha!

CAPO71, I can help with the first one anyway, the three switches operate the three different sets of lights in the cabin, one does the overhead lights down the middle cabin liner, another does the indirect lights behind the valences above the two bench seats and the third does the floor lights. My boat is at the lake or I would tell which one does which.

Hope this helps.

i was just there with CAP checking out the boat. I didn't see any cabin floor lights. Where are the bulbs located? how do you replace them?

should be mounted in front of thr bench seats, on the sides in the carpet.

I do not think they were optional, they came standard.

I just went to the Formula website and saved the attached picture, you can see one of the lights in front, below the head compartment

I think you have to be 15 miles off shore before you are allowed to dump waiste overboard. If you do it any closer unless it is a emergency (and no my tank was full is not an emergency) you can get a HUGE fine.

I think you are right Audio. Actually, I thought the hull discharge for the head had to be disabled when boating inland waters such as the Great Lakes. The one on my '89 311 is capped-off right at the hull discharge valve (came that way from the previous owner).

It may not have to be disabled but, as Audio said, if you blow your chit overboard and get caught, you'll be in more of mess than your holding tank!!!!
