I see this boat everytime I go out. It is on the water near John's Pass, Maderia Beach. Last year, I was at the McDonald's on the water, and he and his son were there and started chatting with me about my Formula. I think he said he had some issue with an engine or a drive, don't remember which, and that he was remodeling his house or something, and hadn't fixed it. Keep in mind, this was around a year ago, so it could be fixed.
I remember his young son (probably around six years old), telling his dad with a disgusted voice that I had "flapper exhaust"!

I don't really think that boat is priced all that low. Thats about what I would expect for an '88. However, being a salt water boat, I might be inclined to have the owner knock off another 2-3k to get me to bite on it.
As Clay said above, it's fifteen years old. Chits gonna start to go south. I own an '89 311, great shape, turns a lot of heads. But,,,,,,,if I don't keep wrenches in my hands,,,,,,,the old "ThirdBird" ain't gonna be what it is.
If you were considering that boat, I'd suggest you offer 33k. It's been for sale for a while now, you'll probably get it for that price.

Just wondering how well it has held up.
