Cuda

Props were 2500.00 for the set. They are used and in good condition. I'm still getting used to the different caracteristics of the speedmasters vs Kaama's I think top end is better w speedmasters. I'm having a little trouble with starboard engine right now trying to figure it out so I can really see what the props will do. They don't come out of the hole as good It takes a little extra juice to get on plane when they catch they pull hard.

the 311 that started this thread
perfect mix and i are in discussions on the 357

really the 311 is an awesome deal for someone who want to spend a little time on a couple things
because the owner spent a ton of $$$ getting almost everything perfect.

stress cracks in those spots are common
oil on manifolod - engine builder told me prolly jsut re seal a intake bolt thread
high idle - choke on holley prolly
lifter tick - engine builder said it started out that way - after getting in boat - prollly jsut needs adjsutment

no the boat is not lsited. my friend jsut spotted it at the dock

the owner, a lawyer, property owner, and landscaping company owner had made a deal with his landscaping employee/friend/mechanic for 25k to get the boat out of his way because his dream boat was found, the cafe racer

the employee can't really afford the boat but just loves it. so the owner got the financing for him!!!!. and settled on the 25k, probably based on an affordable payment for mechanic friend.

along comes me. someone who knows /appreciates what the kaamas are and is interested. the owner has a long talk with mechanic and says, you know.... you really need to buy this...buy that..... lets split anyting above the 25k, what do you say. hense the 25-30 i mentioned.

when I called him back to say no, the owner says, he will sell at 25k and will take care of his employee.
so that's the whole deal.

I know the guy is a lawyer, but seems sincere, honest about everything on the boat. and perfect mix knows first hand that all the upgrades and such that were done on the boat at the local marina, and the engine builder has a great rep in traverse city too.

i just didn't like the stress marks in gel and the lifter tick. anyone with time could fix those i am quite confident.

anyway, i sound like a salesman now. LOL
the boat will be the mechanics come the new boat this weekend unless someone brings the cash.
would have to be pretty serious though.....
he took a whole roll of film. i will try to scan some and post.

Yep,
I'd love to see what I missed... I want to buy but at this point I don't want to try to jump on an unknown boat so far away. If you have time, I'd enjoy a picture or two.

Thanks
