Default The complete 311 thread

I don't think this has been done yet and I think it would be interesting to anyone doing research, I'm starting a thread for each model boat. I'm hoping they will be the complete "guide" to each model. What I'd like to see in it is hard facts about this model only,(length, beam, available power, years produced, numbers produced, colors, pictures, weights, pricing for different years.)

I'd like to keep out the shopping questions. But feel free to put in comments about likes and dislikes, common problems, and results with different power packages. As time permits, I'll troll through old posts and add info collected through the years. If I didn't start a thread for a model you want to see, start one up with the right subject name.

Thanks in advance,
Dave

The only negative thing I can say about my 311, aside from it being a gas-sucking pig, is that the head is really pretty much a joke. I mean, little kids can get in there but "real" people can't. We use the space for a cloths locker.

As for the gas-sucking pig part, that comes with territory for this type of boat but it still amazes me how much fuel this boat can consume

Heck, bird, it gets a mile to the gallon from 40 to 70mph, what more can you ask for?

At 35, it gets almost 1.3mpg.

I agree about the head. A really good closet but a really sad outhouse. If a 230 pounder needed to use the head that bad, I'd move the porta john to the main cabin floor. All my friends prefer to hang off the swim platform and unload.

Never fails, though, somebody's kid gets in the cabin for the first time and next thing you know, they're asking how to flush the can...

HA GROVE I Like the thread and pretty funny about the head. I do have a few girls that use it from time to time!!! Thier isn't really any room in thier. I also use mine for storage clothes and boat stuff!!! It is amazing the gas consumption this boat achives. Keep the good stuff coming
