RT, I know where you coming from, every once in a while I think I want some color and then I get her all waxed up and shiny and I say nah, i just couldn't do it.
It's all whited out, everything, expect the front cabin bed, that is blue, but that's it.
The two things that are neat about the all white is it takes a lot of sun to get it too hot to stand on it and no one can tell what year it is, the Imron mostly gives it away, most people think it's a 03-05 because how perfect I keep it, but it's a 98 and they don't believe it.
I'm sure your boat is just as nice, just different.

Here's my previous ride, and the current one... it was all white, except for red piping on the interior.

Here's mine so far...
A before and during pic.
It should be done by Mid-May (of this year LOL!) with the engines, drives, paint, custom moulded with no bow or stern rails etc., etc... finish it all for the coming season!
I actually bought it thinking I'd just clean it up a bit while I'm saving for something else but... you know how that goes.

HC, that's looks like a little more than a clean up job, you're going all out, curious how you're going to finish her, paint, interior, you going back original or something diff.

How did they get the Imron off without hurting the gell coat ? I want to do the same to my boat but I hear it can become a real expensive can of worms to open plus mine stays in fresh water most of the summer.

Yeah, more than a clean-up now...I know... At first I had hoped to just squeak by with the vinyl work and engine re-freshes, but once I got in there it looked kinda ugly!
All the vinyl is being re-done currently in all off-white with red accents, and the interior cockpit area will be all white also including the new dash and gauges. The carpeting is medium grey throughout the boat. Motors will be painted to match the red on the boat...
I really like the Cig Top Gun paint scheme (the red and white look), but as I get a bit closer, then the decision will have to be made.
I feel real fortunate that I can do everything re-rigging-wise on the boat myself except for the upholstery stuff. I ran my own commercial body shop for many years and then went into car buying and selling so I also have the room as parts seem to be all over the place!

Here's a picture of my last Formula in the Palm Beach colors. Its a 1993 271 SR1, traded it last year for the 292. It always drew compliments at the dock especially when I would start it. Nothing like the sound of a 502 with the old thunderbox exhasut.
