Just bought my first go-fast (owned 2 Bridge Cruisers for the last 13 years)
1988 Formula 242 ss with a 7.4L Bravo 1.
I have no idea what prop is on it, but so far it does 40-45 no problem @ 3500rpm (with a lot of extra weight onboard with kids toys, luggage, and my family)

So far, i'm loving this type of boating! Feels weird being so close to the water and having one engine is something to get used to!

I have a feeling i'll be upgrading to something bigger within a year or two!

your 88 242 ss with bravo 330 .stock should do just over 50 mph

I'm going to have to look at a few things this fall. I'm not able to get WOT out of it, so either throttle cable or something else is amiss.

i have a 21 pitch prop on it. seems to do ok with it, but i may go to a 23 after i fix the above issue.
