This is great info - thanks very much! I have also not seen any problems either with the oil becoming burnt or discolored and the temp remains fine.

Also, the main reason that 1000 RPM shift limit was made is in that Big Diesel applications, The torque of the diesel and the size of the wheel being spun, caused some clutch slippage at engagement shortening the life of the clutches. As you know, our prop sizes and torque is low compared to big diesels |

If you are slinging oil out that breather you can remotely mount them up higher. I have a buddy that did that and he does not ahve the problem any more.

Thanks, I can't wait to get the new tips in. That's REALLY going to set it off, that and a new tie bar.
Am also going to spray the lower half of the drives silver. |
