USAuctions (EBay)

Anyone looking at the 357 coming to Ebay soon? it's listed at USAuctions now... I've been waiting on a description for about 2 months now! I'm thinking it was submerged in the tidal surge of the hurricane.

What drives are those?

And what's a good bid? I'm going to miss the end of the auction so I want to put a livable bid before I leave.

Those are Kaama Drives. Cuda could probably give you more info on them.

It would be nice to have more of a description on it. I''d out of the market now but would be curious to know how much it went for. I just bought this thing a few months ago. (Looking forward to next summer).

man I just love that look!!!

I'm going to only bid assuming the drivetrain(s) need a complete rebuild, The interior needs a complete once over, the electronics/electrics are shot and/or problematic, there are places needing new wood, and it needs new paint. Never fails anyway, learning from my last 2 boats (smaller scale projects). I actually have a lot of fun rebuilding and get a whole lot more satisfaction.

So... I'm thinking this way. What's the hull worth? add a couple dead engines/drives... that's my bid. Any $ ideas based on that? 10-15k?

Personally, I wouldn't be brave enough to buy a 17 year old boat with no survey off of an ebay picture. But, you could get a great deal.

If it helps mine had $24,000 spent on the engines 81 hours ago. It's an '85. I had it surveyed and is solid but in need of lots of TLC and little things like switches, new carpet bulbs, bilge pump, etc. etc. nothing major. I paid $31,000 for it with the trailer (which needs some work also). So, you could say I spent less than $7,000 for the hull.

That's a hell of a deal!!! I really like those low profile blowers!!! Did you get full engine specs? Have you had it out yet?

Oops... I just read your other post. 76 is pretty damn good!!!

Thanks - I've only had it out once. I'm really looking forward to next summer.

Has anyone bid on that other 357?

Auction doesn't start on Ebay until Jan 10. Hopefully it gets delayed again because I'll be out of the country until the 19th.

Something about those kaamas have me in a trance!
