It's a pitty I don't have any photos of the Fountain Poker Run 42 with twin 600s trying to catch me. The only one I have handy is this one.

Well my new best top speed in 272 is 97.9mph with a set of stock (non-labbed) 32p Bravo1 props. The changes since my earlier posts where I was doin 93 are that I replaced the Holley 850cfm carbs with QFT 1050cfm annular carbs and upgraded the exhaust from the Stainless Marine Hi-torque to thier Gen3 manifolds with dry tailpipes.

I made a video of one of the runs recently that I will post when I download it.

Wow, that's impressive! Congrats. So close to that 100 mph mark, you have to be thinking of a few more tweaks to get there. I bet that sleeper surprises a lot of people!

I am sure I can get it over the 100 mph mark, I think the props will do it but just a good tune-up would likey get it there (needs an oil change now at the plugs haven't been changed in a year).

I have a new for the 272SR1 101MPH on GPS and backed up by GPS speedo. I was turning labbed Bravo1 34P 5900 (slip a bit high but props don't have much cup). I think I can actually get about 103 with a little tweeking. I was waiting to get a video to post it but broke a drive so thought I would go ahead now.
