I don't think mine are out the stock place either. I was washing the boat yesterday when I coud see where it looked like there was two places where the exhaust holes may have been. I think because of the surface drives the exhaust may have been raised. What I think it the hull was made for a conventional drive, then changed at the factory. I think that because it was such a fine repair, I didn't notice it until yesterday. You can't tell at all from the inside.

Quit lookin at my azz and get out there on that exhaust! |
Re: Cuda
Yours are MUCH lower then mine. Mine come out up half in and out of the drop off above yours. So the bottom of mine are about even with the top of yours.

After reading CMG's thread in GBdiscussion about his leaf spring, I decided to move Outlaw to a flat spot in the corner of our side yard. Now I suspect I probably caused the springs to break in the rear last year as I had Outlaw jacked up so high to compensate for the slope of my driveway. Then I had to take down the temporary sunshade I'd made. Now I gotta figure out how to mount it where the boat is now. However I did make some progress. Got the hoses off and the risers unbolted except for two bolts that need "some persuasion". It's actually starting to look like I've done something. :D :D Your exhaust tips look like they are mounted much lower than mine also. When the 302 is in the water, how high off the water are your tips???? |
Re: Cuda
That's strange, the holes that were covered are actually lower than the one's they used.

Re: Cuda
I have 4" spacers on my manifolds so that I can have the slope to get the water to flow back. FYI Mine are NOT stock. The former owner was a total butcher and had mounted them up high. However even were I have mine located I NEVER feel comfortable sitting in any wakes at all with the motors off as I am afraid of water going up the exhaust and into the motors.

Jon Jon, Just was reading some old posts... Mine also come out almost centered on the lip above Cuda's. My origional holes are quite clear to see and are close to the position in Cuda's pics... What are you running for Exhaust? I have stock manifolds and Imco Risers in 4" with Corsa Silent Choice. Let me know if you need any pics. Bryan |
