Default HP upgrade: 1998 382 FasTech

I am just finishing up an upgrade on my HP 500's, Just pulled the first one on the dyno and ended up with 620 HP @ 5500 and 602 ft/lbs of tq. Now I need to figure out the best props for this combo. I will keep you posted on the results, we don't hit the water up her until late april or early may. Jeff

Props: 26 Hydro 5 blades or 30 Bravos, if it will go 85. How fast was it stock?

The boat would run 74-75 on gps 76.5 mph under perfect conditions: no gas, no wife telling me to slow down and 55 degree air with a 2ft chop. The props I have been running are stock 28" Bravo one's 5000 rpm, 5100 at best. When you say 26 Hydro do you mean P5 or P5X ? Jeff

WAGS, My 382 w 525's, open exhaust, Stellings, runs 79-84gps depending on load etc. Hydro P5 clever type (labbed) run 4850-5250. The 31 Bravo 1's ran 5100 to 5450 (labbed)on the limiter. You can use this as a quide. Both props had the same top speed!
